Boat removal and Summer parking

Attention all dinghy owners – see notes below about removing your boat from the deck.  This applies to all dinghy owners apart from Oppie owners.

While it is a few weeks  away yet, it is important to note that your dinghy is required to be removed from the RSGYC Forecourt no later than Sunday April 9th in order to facilitate Lift In.

Please note that unfortunately this year, due to the unavailability of adjacent overflow storage space that we cannot offer the temporary storage facility as in past years.  You will need to make arrangements to remove and store your boat offsite until after Lift In.  For those with absolutely no place to store their dinghy, we have been offered the use of an area opposite the Irish Lights building, but it is not ideal. It is the area opposite the Irish Lights building, a laneway adjacent to the Dart lines, secured with a locked gate. If you wish to leave your boat there, it can be used but it will be entirely at your own risk. For further details on this, please contact the Sailing Office.

Boats that have successfully applied for summer dinghy parking and are being actively sailed will be welcomed back to the Club Forecourt on or after Friday April 21st.

To confirm- there is no available dinghy storage at the Club from April 9th – April 21st. Any boats remaining during this time, will lose club parking privileges.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding with this matter.
